JJB Leadership delivers a full range of hospitality consulting services, including hotel asset management, operations consulting, hotel sales and revenue management, marketing strategy, organizational and leadership consulting, hotel technology and tech stack reviews, renovation and PIP advisory, and task force and interim leadership placement. JJB Leadership specializes primarily in the hospitality industry. We work with independent and boutique hotels, full-service and select-service branded hotels, resorts, hotel management companies, ownership groups, investor partnerships, and the support and supplier ecosystem that serves them. For organizational and business consulting, JJB has worked across industries focusing on executive coaching, culture development, systems analysis and enhancement and additional marketing services.
JJB Leadership uses a collaborative, highly customized approach to every engagement, working closely with hospitality clients to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Whether the assignment is hotel asset management, operations consulting, a task force placement, or a renovation advisory project, every engagement is structured as a true partnership with on-property leadership and ownership.
JJB Leadership can serve as experienced "boots on the ground" leadership or as an asset-level advisory partner working alongside operators, management companies, brands, and ownership groups. Whether the focus is a specific top-line need, hotel asset management, overall operational efficiency, or a defined project, we customize each engagement to improve both short-term and long-term performance.
JJB Leadership offers true flexibility — short-term project assists, long-term advisory partnerships, and on-the-ground task force coverage — and we shift our level of involvement based on market conditions and ownership priorities. With Jeff Brainard's direct experience across hotel sales, marketing, operations, commercial strategy, and hotel asset management, plus a network of trusted industry partners, we focus on improving performance and creating sustainable processes that solidify long-term growth.
Hotel asset management is owner-side advisory work that protects and grows the value of a hospitality investment. An asset manager monitors operating performance against budget and the competitive set, represents ownership in conversations with the management company and brand, leads capital planning and PIP negotiations, and supports acquisition and disposition decisions. Owners typically engage an asset manager when a property is underperforming, when a management or franchise agreement is up for renewal, when a major renovation is approaching, or when a portfolio has grown beyond what an owner can monitor directly.
Most task force placements can be confirmed within five to ten business days, depending on property location, brand requirements, and the leadership profile needed. JJB Leadership maintains an active roster of vetted hotel General Managers, Directors of Sales, Revenue Managers, and Food and Beverage leaders, all of whom have multi-property experience and have been pre-screened for cultural fit and references.
JJB Leadership works with independent hotels, boutique hotels, full-service branded hotels, select-service branded hotels, all-inclusive and conventional resorts, conference and convention hotels, and small to mid-size hotel portfolios. Engagements range from single-asset advisory assignments to portfolio-wide asset management and operations partnerships.
JJB Leadership offers flexible engagement models, including fixed-fee project work, monthly retainers for ongoing asset management and advisory relationships, and daily or weekly rates for task force placements. Each proposal is built around the scope, timeline, and outcome ownership wants to achieve, and we share fee structures transparently before any work begins.
